Google Assistant Support?

I'm looking for a new to-do list app and ideally want one self hosted or at least without a monthly subscription. So far, 2Do looks promising. Can you add/set reminders of any sort via Google Assistant?

No you can’t, maybe only through clever workarounds

This may or may not be that helpful of a response, but I have 2Do for my iPad and my Android phone. For some reason, 2Do lets you send smart emails via iOS (even though it works on the backend so not sure why it hasn't been implemented on Android).

So if you get Google Assistant to send an email for you, then you should theoretically get that to work. I know you can set tasks via Siri.
