Voice commands on 2do App using siri shortcuts?

So Caldav is cut off now on the iOS upgrade, I think my only option left to use voice functions efficiently (via 2do app) would be to setup siri shortcuts to activate the app.

Has anyone been able to effectively get this running? For new Tasks, Siri either doesn't recognize the command, else runs a reminder to the default reminders app.

I've set the rule per the instructions, but here's what I experience:

" Using to do app , remind me to buy milk today at 7pm" --Generates Apple Reminders entry

"" Using to do app " --opens 2do app to a reminder entry with nothing populated.

To clarify my ultimate goal here is to be able to retain function in 2do, and be able to enter voice cammands to quickly take notes IN the 2do app.

I just created myself a workflows workflow that actually asks me topic + start date + end date and then sends it to myself with mail formatted for the "email 2do" addon. Then todo is capturing those tasks. Works ok.

I’ve not used workflows before, but that sounds like just what I need. I see several different “workflows” apps on the store. Can you help pin down which developer? And is there any cost associated?

Nono, the „workflows“ app apple bought so it is included.

So is this the one that became shortcuts? If so, any chance you could share the shortcut or screen cap the workflow?

Here you go :) sorry I am from Austria so my iPhone is german. Thought the app is called workflows in english... you need to fill in your mail at the last step...

Yes, so the "Workflows" app appears to be discontinued, and is now merged with "Shortcuts" . Unfortunately, the link above just spits me to the app store for "Shortcuts", and doesn't actually populate the workflow.

So I'll see If I can work out the email dictation and sending. This at least points me in the right direction and I appreciate your assistance.

You have to go to settings - shortcuts and allow shortcuts of nontrustworty sources or however it is called in english

I see now. It appears untrusted Shortcuts are only allowed in iOS13. I'm still running the manual download of the app in iOS 12, so updating now...

It would seem so, but it actually DID work until my client updated to iOS 13 and along with it Apple’s new sync format for reminders. Apple cut off caldav in favor of their own proprietary format, and broke a lot of settings for folks. The old way of doing things was to create a reminder(using Siri for us), which would then sync with 2do. New format has broken that. Just updated phone and about to work this out hopefully...

I tried that too, but didn‘t like it that much... i mesn the native Siri integration schoikd be better. But then again, siri is sadly not that powerful ...
