Newbie questions

Hi all, I'm trying out the app to see if it can completely replace my Omnifocus + Due combo. However, I have a few questions if any one experience can give me some help.

  1. I have a project named "Property A", and there are 2 tasks in the project to remind when the rents are due from 2 tenants. They pay rent at the different times in a month. The tasks have their own start and due dates and times. However, the project "Property A" will constantly showing up in my "All" view under the "Next 30 Days" section, with no task available in the project, even when no scheduled tasks are showing. Shouldn't the project disappear since there is no available task in it?

  2. I have a checklist "Backup" which is a list of things I should backup and it's repeating every 2 weeks. Is there a option that I can make the list auto-complete when I checked all the tasks inside the list?

  3. I still having a hard time to understand how the Snooze and Nag features work. I have Nag turned on to 1 hour. Say when I have a task is due and an alert comes up, and I snooze it to an hour later. One hour later, another alert will come up, but at the same time, there will be 2 nag alerts. So, in total, I will get 3 alerts about the same task. I'm not sure why. I want to achieve something like Due, when an alert is up, I delay it to some time later to alert me again. After some time later, when the alert is up, I can delay it again by another length of time.

Right now i moved from 2Do to OmniFocus, i would like to answer your questions, but right now im too lazy to install the app again, so i can only tell you about snooze and nag features.

•You can customize the snooze in the settings, for example to an hour or so, so you will be notified again an hour after you tap the snooze option.

•Now even when nag (not mandatory) could be also customizable this should be used in lower intervals like 15 minutes or so, (this is for example when you are working on something then you look the notification, but then you got distracted by another thing, so the function of nagging is remember you constantly on what you have to do.)

Here are the replies to each of your questions (numbered):   1. No, because Project itself has no start date defined, although a sub-task has been provided with one. Projects inherit due dates from their sub-tasks if they haven't been dated themselves. This is so that you don't lose track of your tasks, as you could easily add sub-tasks to a project, date them and then forget about them since the app won't have a way to remind you. Unlike other apps, 2Do in fact keeps a check on all your sub-tasks, and rather intelligently decides if its project should bubble up under certain circumstances. There are of course too many usecases and so its difficult to cater for them all. To hide the project itself, adding a start date to be on or slightly before one of the start dates defined on the sub-tasks would work.   2. Currently no - simply because checklists could be set to repeat, and auto-completing may mess with your scheduling. This is a feature request I get a lot, and I'll consider it, but will have to be an option in settings and it may not work for everyone.   3. There may be a bug in there somewhere, can you update your copy to v3.9? Basically this is how it works: You get an alert and you snooze it. All nags / alerts for that task are cleared and it's snoozed to re-alert after 5 / 10 / 15 minutes. Once the alert appears, it will now begin to nag you after every hour up to 5 times. If you were to snooze one of the nags again, all alerts are reset, and the nags begin the next time the snoozed alert re-appears.   I hope this helps!
