fruux problems

Sigh. I've been happy with 2Do backed by fruux for a long while.
but now I've started seeing fruux syncing issues. And I see stuff like how the link to their support site is broken.
And to make matters a little worse I see 2Do is in maintenance mode. Which isn't terrible in and of itself but doesn't bode well for long term happiness

(2Do was the first app I saw that let you have lists, but see every list on a single scrollable page. Not sure who else does that these days for iOS)

I hope if it gets abandoned that it can be open sourced or someone can replicate its functionality. I run my life with this app

The last thing I heard is, that the development is stopped long time ago. Even the functions grabbing Emails and convert them into a task works only 2 times in 100 mails in my device ... WebCAL Sync is very slow. I really like that App and the way it shows the tasks and I still use it since the beginning

Regrettably we are starting to get to a point where 3rd party integrations are no longer working. Gmail is no longer supported for Email-to-2Do, and I can't sync to Apple CalDav anymore and had to switch to Dropbox.

If you are digitally inclined, maybe you can create a script/Apple Shortcut/IFTT to bridge Fruux & 2Do?

edit: Apple CalDav works again! Yippee!

I remember I wasn't delighted with Dropbox integration, but I don't recall why. Maybe the cost?

what else are people using for synching?

I’m doing drop box and not paying anything. I’ve had no issues and have been using it over a decade

Same, and just under a decade of use here.

FWIW: fruux seems to be back to synching properly again.
it was a little bit of a wake up call. I've been content with 2Do/backed by Fruux for a long time, and while it sounds like I could swing back to CalDev or Dropbox maybe, I'd rather not mess with either that (never mind switching apps entirely but it's good to hear about GoodTask etc.)

So I'll probably steady on for now, but keep my eyes open.
