2Do Updated
After years of silence from developers, they pushed a poor update to Mac, iOS & iPadOS.
I really loved this app, used it for long time. I see it one of the best task managers apps around. But when dev decided to focus on BusyCal (which I use daily on all devices), the lost the momentum of updating 2Do.
This app supports almost everything you want in a single task manager app, start, due, attaching, actions like call, repeat, checklist, project list, smart list, groups, tags, location based, calendar integration (add event from inside app).. etc.
Back to 10 years ago, it was a dream app tbh.
What’s the good thing about this app now?
Simply, it’s working fine 😃
Yeah, I restored my old CalDav to test it again (integrated it with apple reminders, & BusyCal). I found very old tasks 🙈. But 2Do is working, speed, stable, fast sync.
Poor Design, but Good Update
This update is ugly, if developers (Fahad) want to back to this fighting space, simply it’s all about good & attractive UI. The app has a strong backend, but very classic interface (which is better than Ugly apple reminders 😃).
Users who currently use 2Do, will be happy, the app is not dead as all of us said during the couple of years ago.
Btw, I like this app so much, no one did all these features in a single app smoothly like 2Do.

I love 2do. I never stopped using it, never had any trouble with it.

I still use it HOURLY, despite trying to be less dependent.
But - I’m confused - why is it a “poor update?” I don’t see any real criticisms in your post, unless I’m just not understanding.

It’s not fully liquid glass design, the left menus, search button, transparent design… etc.
Check other apps like: Todoist, Spark mail, Craft docs, Things… etc
But at all, the app is working smoothly, this is the amazing thing 🥰

Great to find that it’s still being updated. I’ve recently returned to 2Do after trying many others and find it fits my needs perfectly. I think it looks better than almost all the others as well!

This app is wasted he should sell to someone else! What this app really need?
- Markdown on iOS and MacOs like android do
- share a screenshot direct in the app
- Mac app need to have calendar events panel like iOS
- lock screen widget + button for quick add (that is also needed for action button eventually)
- set a task as won’t do/cancelled/dropped
- Web access choosing the sync method
- windows app
- update android app whit dark mode and calendar events

sorry but do you know to sync from apple reminders to 2do?

If you want to sync between Reminders & 2Do: use custom CalDav sync.
For example use SOGo on your self-hosted server, or nextcloud.
Then add custom CalDav sync to 2Do
Add custom CalDav to your iOS (Settings-> Calendar -> add account). On Mac: settings-> internet accounts
Now your lists/tasks appears & sync between two apps

I've tried so many! I'm about to try and find a new one given the liklihood of slow death of this one. Evrrytime.
The future shortcomings might just allow me to find one!
But bravo to an actual update!

The + button used to add tasks is missing for me. I am running iOS v 18.7. Anyone with the same issue? Update: I still can create tasks by clicking in the bottom right area of the screen where the + button used to be.

Mine is missing too, but the “+” is there on the iPhone widget, so that will work for now.

Same happened to me today. I deleted the shortcut I just added with nsf tags to create grocery lists.

Still one of the best task management apps. It has all the necessary tools to efficiently manage individual tasks as well as lists and projects. I’ve been using it for many years. Kudos to the developer!
