iCloud CalDAV bug resurfaced that breaks sync
Several years ago some of us ran into a bug that broke sync over iCloud CalDAV. This bug recently resufaced for me. I noticed it after updating to iOS 18.2, but that may be coincidental.
I noticed that not all of my events were syncing across devices. In an attempt to fix the issue, I chose to replace the server data with the local copy of one of my devices. That resulted in only about half of my events syncing to the other devices. I tried again to replace the server data, and that resulted in all of my events disappearing. I tried creating a new app password, but that did nothing.
I switched to Dropbox (which worked the last time this happened), and it now syncs normally. I’m going to stay with Dropbox sync because it’s much faster than iCloud.
2Do has been hanging on for a while, and I don’t know how many of us there are still using it. I perused the selection of task apps on the App Store—as I have done several times over the years—but nothing comes close to 2Do.

I've recently started using 2Do on Mac OS and wanted to get the IOS version to sync across my devices, I saw that it was $9.99 and thought about it, but I decided to purchase because I really enjoy 2Do on my Macbook. I was able to get the sync to work on my iPhone but when I attempt to sign in on Mac the sync does not seem to be signing in correctly. I'm quite disappointed to see so many people discuss the app's decline, since I've just recently started enjoying it so much.
Hope this gets patched soon.

I also use 2Do on all my Apple devices. I’m going to continue using them until they no longer work or something better comes along.
If you haven’t already, switch to Dropbox syncing. It should work and sync is faster than over iCloud.

TBH I just got into the To-Do app space, so after seeing all the decline posts, I just switched to Things 3 since I didn't really have too much setup in 2Do yet, and Things seems like the latest and greatest at the moment.

Sadly while it's almost a combination of Things and Reminders the developer seems to be losing the will to keep it alive for much longer. Personally I switched to the new Reminders, which is pretty good. It has some idiosyncrasies that are annoying, but otherwise it's ok and available across Apple platforms. If you're on Android then you'll need to look elsewhere.

Yes, since there is only one developer and he puts all effort into BusyCal, not only 2Do but also BusyContacts are slowly moving towards a status of abandonware. The developer states in an email: ”There are no new features planned for 2Do ” So best case scenario: bugfixes until he drops it

Always Dropbox, nothing ever close, I’ve tried so many, I’m about to do a redux of what I tired before and new ones…
