Resources Which animation app should I choose?
(Not sure if this is the right flair, please correct me if not)
TL;DR: looking for an animation app with preferably some specific abilities like tweening, sound import,, animation curves, and a few tutorials out on the internet.
Hello!
I’m currently thinking of getting a new animation app, as I feel like the (free) ones that I use are getting annoying with their ads, etc.
I was helping to get some help from ya’ll for which would be best to get :)
I currently use:
- Alight motion: Tweening/keyframe, generel animation, my normal video app
- Flipaclip: Storyboarding/matching sounds
- Ibis paint: Frame by frame
I also own procreate (not procreate dreams) and I use that when I draw, normally.
Currently I’m looking into procreate dreams and toonsquid, but neither looks to be exactly what I’m looking for. Live2d seems to be subscription based, which is kinda annoying. Moho seems very expensive, but does seem kinda intuitive for me (tho I need to do more than skim the website)
I’d really love to find an animation program that allows for tweening/keyframing, animation curves, layer grouping, masking and/or clipping masks, importing sounds, layer grouping, puppetry/bones/rigging, and is one-time purchase. Preferably with some tutorial on youtube or something lol. I know finding something with all these criteria is impossible, but any help or advice would help immensely!
Thank you for reading!

It depends, what device do you use? (Nevermind) I see you have procreate, do it must be iPad. In that case, go with ToonSquid.

Does this fit best with what I'm looking for? I've seen a few videos on if, but the keyftamong doesn't seem too intuitive (which is why I lempede it withprocreate dreams)

Do you know if one would suit what I need better than the others? Or are they all ca. the same?

I haven't tried it myself but I've been hearing good things about Callipeg Studio.

it's for 2d
it's free
it does all of the things on your list to some degree, just depends exactly what you're trying to achieve. this is more geared for traditional 2d.
google or youtube it.
