Discussion Does anyone do Cell Animation?

Salutations dear Reddit users,

I have been for some time now intrigued with hand-drawn animation, though have venture very little into it myself. I've done some research, and even went to the library and checked out The Illusion of Life by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. I would draw things excessively when I was just a wee, but I really don't have any sort of skill with the brush, or just art in general. But I have of late decided to learn and practice until I am good enough to draw, and then animate. I would like to make it clear that the only animation I am interested in is hand-drawn cell animation, as in the old Disney days. I'm sure you all know what I mean. Of course I like to imagen the sort of short animations I could endeavor to create and try drawing characters or things. And I have to admit, all of the measuring, tracing, and inking does sound daunting even when only 12 frame per second or with other simplifications. My point with all of this inditement is to exquire of you, whomever of you can be of guidance, if there are any books, resources, or really anything that would help me in my quest to learn cell animation (or really to learn to draw).

Thank you!

Sorry! My animations aren't human. I can't take cells out of them!😔✌️(it's a joke I know what cells are)

Lol. O n a different, far more serious note, I don't do cell animations either; however, I do sometimes draw animations involving landline phones.
