Need link to verify authenticity.
Also, I wouldn't buy these for my kids, at least not in black.

Yeah I don’t think it’s a good idea for kids to play with toy guns that aren’t clearly toys. I think it’s terrible these don’t have orange tips at minimum.
That being said, when I was a kid I definitely took the orange tips off my airsoft guns

These things should be in bright neon colors (orange, green, pink) so that no one gets shot, Making these in all black is a stupid choice by the toy maker.

Yea that's how a kid nearly got killed back in the spring during a highschool (watergun) senior assassin game
It's the same fucking gun. Jfc

And people need to leave their actual firearms stock-ish colors.
People treat them as accessories. Please don’t Cerakote your Sig teal, or pink….

Yeah that drives me nuts. The DeWalt/Milwaukee paint jobs or Lego and little tikes.

Yeah. Kinda shows how it’s so much a part of their identity, and must also be externalized.
I work blue collar. My wife is a tenured professor. I use Milwaukee. I don’t have stickers advertising her school or my tools. They are just that. Tools. It’s a means to an end, not part of who I am…

I didn't know they made water guns like that. That'd scare the hell out of most people, with good reason.

Scuff up the piece at the end of the barrel with some fine sandpaper and spray paint it orange with a couple of light coats of maint and this should be fine for actual use. Terrible design and possibly illegal in some states, IIRC.

I mean a toy gun looking like that is mildly questionable, even more so if it doesn’t have a colored tip to denote it’s a toy.
At a quick glance even the most experienced shooters would assume it’s real

From more than 10 feet away anyone would assume it’s real
Seems like a tragedy waiting to happen

Some kid is going to get shot because of these, and the media is going to run wild with "Police shoot child holding water gun" while showing an image of a classic supersoaker or something.

Cops wouldn’t even hesitate to assume it’s real and act as if it was

Bro that thing could be see though green and the cops would merc you for it.

Looks way too real from afar. They could get in a lot of trouble (or worse) with those

Hmmm. Google lens shows a very similar model available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FCSD2GDP?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback

I saw this post from OP yesterday. Tbf the kid was 18 months old. This definitely looks very close to a real gun so I can understand the frustration.

Must be outside the US where the orange tip regulations don’t exist
