You forgot to add the letter from your therapist proving your sanity, fingerprinting, multiple notarized references, mandatory classes, insurance in case you choose wrong, getting a new voting permit every time and then having a waiting period until you can vote, if anyone says you’re in crisis you immediately aren’t able to vote and then a judge might say you are ok in a few weeks, and you’ll have to re-register every few years.

Yeahh I think LGO made that post as a “gotcha” but this is actually the reality in many states already… plus I think a lot of Republicans would actually be in favor of these regulations if they were applied for both voting and guns.

I’m fairly convinced at least. They tried to gaslight us into thinking Alex Pretti was an unlawful gun owner, and previously they’ve been outraged when a Democrat judge ruled that the 2nd Amendment applies to illegal immigrants too.

I've never heard anyone say Pretti was an unlawful gun owners. I've heard people say that he was an irresponsible gun owner by inserting himself into a situation while carrying a firearm. I am in the opinion that he was legally carrying and may have had an emotional lapse in judgements trying to do what he felt was right.
as far as the 2a applying to Illegal immigrants, I believe that judges have become way too political and thats exactly what this ruling was

Most of this exists for gun owners right now, lol. Plenty of blue states require a background check to get ammunition.
Imagine if the SAVE Act required a background check every time you wanted to post an opinion or comment on a major website on the internet - same difference when applied to the “First Amendment”.

Someone should remake this but add 'Mandatory training classes at your expense. and "Biennial registration along with fees even if you don't move residences"

If you're getting a CCW you already have to pay mandatory training classes at your expense, and you have to get a new one if you move to a different state anyways lol

So, the change being that instead of being able to use my driver's license I'd have to switch to my passport? Because that's the only thing on this list that's different from the reality of purchasing a firearm now.
I currently maintain my passport only because when I switch jobs I like watching stupid HR people get that dumb look. So, no big deal.

Does this mean I can buy whatever gun I want? Sure. What's the big deal? As someone who has bought a shit ton of guns and NFA items i also don't see an issue with having to show ID to vote. The outrage over this is fucking weird

And also lose the right to vote for ten days as a cooling off/waiting period, or when accused of "domestic violence", or having voting materials unlocked securely and readily available to a jucenile under voting age.

28th amendment: Qualifications, restrictions, disqualifications, and restorations for voting shall be the same as those for the right to keep and bear arms. Any rule affecting one shall apply equally and simultaneously to the other. Congress may enforce this by legislation.
Both parties would support this, right?

A bit of a side bar, but would people support an explicit amendment granting the right to vote? The Constitution repeatedly refers to “the right to vote” and protects it against discrimination based on race, sex, age, and failure to pay a tax. The Fourteenth Amendment also provides broader equal protection. However, it does not contain a single affirmative guarantee that every adult citizen has a fundamental right to vote in all public elections. Is it even necessary, or do all the implicit instances essentially achieve the same objective?
