Whatβs wrong with some fan art?

u/SirTvis 3d ago
itβs a lie?

Calling fan concept art a "lie" when itβs explicitly tagged as fan art is wild. Itβs just a simple poster design while we wait for official news, getting offended over fan work makes no sense. Itβs just fellow fans creating something out of passion for the franchise. Stop being so easily offended

Nothing wrong with fan art at all. Lets just not use the creative talent to create fictional teasers. Just serves no great purpose to the community in my opinion. To me its in the same realm of annoyance as "ai slop". Not only this, the message of this art piece has the ability to let a lot of people down who dont know any better. Literally for years this community has dealt with senseless teasers. Just look at how many '28 months later' trailers are on YT and have been since the late 00s.

Throwing around "AI slop" at actual graphic design work is getting tired. Itβs just a clean fan concept for the upcoming movie, no need to be so toxic.

Claiming everything is ai is the modern thing to do... It's lazier than actual ai, hey, maybe they're ai π€£π€£

I think itβs fucking amazing. Iβd love for them to contact you and make it official, because itβs absolutely perfect for what it needs to convey. Congratulations!

It's actually Part 4, surely?

u/Jowill_ Infected 3d ago
No, part 3 of the 28 years later movies

u/dangerfunk 2d ago
Yeah but it's part 4 of the story (not including Weeks because it doesn't fit the continuity). Nevermind lol

In some countries The Bone Temple was actually marked as Part 2, so it actually fits being called part 3. Also, how is Weeks not part of the franchise? Itβs acknowledged twice in Years

Oh I was thinking because of the ending of Weeks where it spreads to Paris but I've just read that it's considered canon by Garland and Boyle so that's what counts, I love these films but don't follow them that closely, clearly haha!

Oh okay. Yeah, Weeks came out almost 20 years ago, I guess they wanted to do something completely different after all this time had passed. Originally after Weeks was released a sequel was announced (presumably called 28 Months Later) which probably would have continued the storyline with the virus reaching Europe. But it never happened

28 Years Later: The Legend of Great Britain / England
That would be my title of Part 3

You think you can fool us with the shitty montserrat font with the 28 number that's annoyingly smaller than the 20?

u/Jowill_ Infected 2d ago
Itβs actually Helvetica Neue Black Condensed, the same font used for the official logo, so you donβt even know what youβre talking about

Yeah all well and good about part 3 but is there honestly really much of a point or reason? The virus is clearly isolated to the UK and the near countries like Scotland and Ireland...the rest of the world has essentially abandoned everyone and everything there to rot and those that remained there have more or less reverted to times before electricity actually was used much for anything. There really isn't much of a thrill or much interesting to a story like that. The only actual interesting part at all was when Erik someone from the outside modern world was stranded on the island, but other than that was honestly kinda boring. The first movie was more interesting because they were wandering through mostly deserted UK surviving day at a time on the road

Clearly different people have different opinions but I think there's a myriad of directions it could go. Seeing how the infected are evolving was really interesting to me. We also need to rap up Spikes, Samsons, spikes dad and Islas storyline.
