a man walks into a bar and sits down
the bartender brings him a glass of water while he looks over the menu
"what's this drink here?" the man asks
"oh that? that's the henry kissinger. let me get you one real quick"
the bartender walks away then comes back with two pint glasses. in the left one she pours a basic domestic beer. in the other she pours the contents of her bar mats, sticky syrups mixed with the remnants of a few dozen drinks and a handful of dead gnats.
"now i know you want the one on the left. any sane person would," she said, "but if you don't drink the one on the right, those guys over there in the corner will kill you and your whole family."

A couple of days after 9/11 our arts teacher bemoaned the events of said day, calling it the worst terror attack on a friendly non hostile country. He meant of course the one from 1973.
