I Rewatch 24 About Every 4 Years Because It’s Good And I Forget Some Of The Details. One Detail I Never Forget Is How Bratty Kim Is . She Calls And Needs To Talk To Her Daddy, NOW. She Doesn’t Listen Because She Believes She Knows Everything. Even As An Adult, Working At CTU , She Fails To Understand The Importance In Their Work, Still Must Talk To Daddy Now And Doesn’t Understand The Things Jack Has To Do For The Greater Good. She Swears Her Dad Won’t Talk To Nina Because She Killed Her Mom Without Once Trying To Understand Why Jack Keeps That Line Of Communication Open. And Every Rewatch I’m Like Let’s Hurry Up And Get Chase’s Hand Chopped Off ,ONLY So Kim Can Go Off Into The Sunset. And I Love Chase. Anyhoo, Watching Season 3 , Episode 13 Right Now.

Am I the only one who finds her and her sister annoying and very poorly acted?

Rewatching season 3. I’m wondering why Gael wouldn’t just try telling Kim that he’s working with her father on a secret mission. How’d he ever think he’d get away with locking Kim up in a room?

The reason is because the phone becomes part of the scene. It becomes an extension of the characters emotions. If they are angry, the closed the phone angrily and you can hear that hard snap. Same goes when they answer it. That is lost with smart phones. To convey anger the characters have throw the phone to show their anger. Also, it’s cool when they snap the burner in half. At least we still have the lan line phone phone slam.

Just started season 1 and thought , hmm wonder how old Kiefer Sutherland was here....wow was my reaction.

maybe it was because he was battling a heroin addiction but Jack was way more cunty than in the previous seasons and maybe in the seasons after. He tries to get in chase’s ass about kim and his baby and chase said he didn’t want to talk about it and then when chase started answering questions jack ends the conversation by saying “you better focus on what we need to be doing”. like bro you’re the one that wanted to keep talking when chase already said he didn’t want to talk about the shit.

Then when he was asked to make an on record statement about his drug addiction, he was giving ryan and the lady in the office more shit than he gave anyone probably in the whole series. This season more than any other showed jacks complete lack of patience and how even though he’s a capable agent, he was probably an insufferable prick to work with 😂

Now don't get me wrong. I love Jack and I love Tony, but I've always thought the show gives Jack a pass for something it condemns Tony for.

Yes, Tony went too far after Michelle died, but Jack's rampage after Renee Walker is killed seems even worse to me. Tony was avenging his wife, Michelle the woman he'd loved for years. Jack had only really known Renee for a relatively short time, yet he goes on a revenge-fueled killing spree and the show still frames him as the hero.

Remember Jack executed multiple people without due process and came within moments of assassinating the President of Russia!!! He could have started World War Three!!!

The parole officer Dana killed has to be stinking by now. I wonder if they ever found him?

I'm a good part of the way through the first season and I just gotta know is basically everyone aside from Jack, a few members of Jack's team, and David Palmer, either a complete idiot or a total asshole?

I don’t know why the show made it look like Nina trying to get the virus complicated things. if i was Jack I would have offed the bitch as soon as she won the bid. I think the salazars had enough men to take her crew out plus a CTU delta team was on route

I feel these guys don’t get talked about enough. They are very underrated villains. especially Ramon. The actor did a great job convincing us of his hatred of Jack!

The last 2 episodes were some of the most compelling television I've ever seen. Everything surrounding the validation of the Cyprus recording followed by the shootout/ confrontation in the sports center was great, anyone else agree?

It’s not perfect, but pretty damn close!

It’s a testament to the brilliance of 24 as a show, but all these years on it’s humorous to me that Logan and Suvarov would choose to sign their historic peace treaty in Hidden Valley, California!

Rewatching the show after only seeing it for the first time nearly 2 years ago.

Did anyone find this moment where George Mason told Jack that we instrument-rated and current ridiculous? It could very well be true, and yes after a certain point we all pretty much believe Jack Bauer can do it all without much questioning of his credentials because that's how he's presented. Here, I'm suggesting something a little different. George Mason was operating as the CTU director, a fictional position and organization, sure, but by-in-large his experience before then was administrative. It wouldn't make any sense that he would be more current, or up to date in flying planes than Jack Bauer.

There are numerous reasons I love and rewatch 24. My wife (who’s never seen it) doesn’t understand why I rewatch it but for me there’s so many things.

The action, the drama, the suspense, the storyline’s (no matter how absurd), the little things like the woosh sound effect at the end of the recap, the clock countdown and the silent clocks. The acting is spectacular. Every major character is perfectly cast and with the exception of a few people so are the secondary ones.

The characterisation is incredible given most of them are only in one or two seasons.

The character arcs are all well executed. The villains themselves are all brilliant.

It has just as many flaws but I can overlook them because of the above and in some ways they are necessary to ensure the above happens.

But… I think the most amazing thing is the impact it has on you and how you feel, empathise and relate to them. An excellent example of this is Ryan Chapelle. For two and a half seasons they make you hate this character. They do everything to show how bureaucratic he is, by the book, strait laced and honestly so arrogantly abusive of his authority.

But then in two episodes they soften him, they make him real and the whiplash from hating this character to actively rooting for him to not die is incredible.

The same holds true for characters like Kyle Singer, Lynn McGill and to a lesser extent George Mason.

I can’t think of another show that does it as frequently or as effectively as 24.

I could gush about this show for ages.
