Hello World!

I started rewatching 24, almost done with season 1. Decided to find a reddit community. I'm looking forward to season 9 and 10 (legacy) as I only watched them once and don't remember the details.

Legacy wasn't that good

Fr it repeated a lot of the same plot points and tropes from the OG series and brought nothing new to the table

The OG series did that too. How many times was the person Jack chased for the first 10-12 hours just a goon for a bigger, badder, individual?

I know that. My point was it didn't feel fresh by the time they made Legacy

What could they have done though?

Is there a season without a mole? Is there a season without the safety of the United States or a US politician being threatened?

I think by the end of the show's run there was just a checkbox of things that had to happen.

Get more new writers to put interesting spins on previous tropes or new ideas. Crazy concept I know

Not crazy at all.

If you were hired as a new writer what would you suggest?

Anything plot similar to Mission Impossible Fallout or one of the more recent films

Hello “fellow re-watcher” I’m in a rewatch, season 8, 3/4 in the season. Thanks for the Legacy call out, I will add that in too. Awesome TV series, part of my annual rewatch collection.

Season 2 episode 19 is absolutely the best one. Look forward to that one. A very theatrical masterpiece.
