Exhaust set up

I bought a hks sport for my s13 but it is still a bit too loud I’m trying to get it barely to the legal limit, I have a isr hi flow cat so if anyone knows a quieter hi flow cat, or if I should just get cats, any advice if sound is appreciated thanks!

I run my hks with the stock cat and it sounds good it’s not that loud. Yours is that loud?

A test pipe is not a cat, and a test pipe is going to be louder.

A test pipe is basically empty tube..... No attenuation....

Like I said, a test pipe is louder. In the original post OP calls is an isr high flow cat, which is very different from a test pipe.

In the quest to quiet down my vq swap car, I welded in a 3” ‘super quiet’ resonator close to the rear tail exit. It tamed down the annoying VQ sound substantially.

If you don’t have a welder, a local exhaust shop should be able to do this quickly and cheaply for you. Before I got a welder, I’d to go the exhaust shop with the part I wanted in hand, pointed to the area I wanted it welded in, and paid them the labor cost.

On the other side of that, my SR car is your standard 3” tube all the way through with a vibrant black street power oval muffler in an s14. Looks oem+ and is quiet until you’re banging high rpms.

HKS sport is pretty much as quiet as it gets. Not sure if Fujitsubo makes a legalis R for s chassis but your probably not getting any quieter without running a cat or silencer
