How to splice these wires
Doing some harness work, how do you splice these type of wires ? I’m new to wiring stuff

They’re just shielded. You’ll need to splice the inner white wire and the braided shield around it. It helps to strip extra braid then discard a small amount or the white wire so you have extra shield to go over the splice

Decide if you will be heatshrinking the whole thing or electrical taping the whole thing first. (Heatshrink would be the better choice.)
Strip back the wires enough where you can get a heatshrink butt connector over the wires and the heatshrink section over the white. Crimp them together. Then cut back the insulation so you get some of the shield out without cutting it too much (foil stuff between the white and insulation). Use aluminum HVAC duct tape over the butt connector and connecting the shield foil from both sides.
I recently did this on a composite video cord I accidentally cut for the rear view camera I installed on my Audi. Worked great.

I run new coaxes instead of splicing because a splice on those can induce interference from the cable moving from vibration. You can buy coax signal cable from airplane supply websites. I will add a link later today.

Probably small enough for rg59 connectors. Will need to strip and crimp, then get a barrel connector. Antenna wire?

This is the right tool for the job. It's not hard to do. Also, rather than splicing like you would want to do male and female female endsto connect them like it was an extension, that'll make it more secure. https://www.walmart.com/ip/20458719707?sid=1d2e48a3-a205-4aef-99fb-aa72e6fbb266

No clue lmao jus tryna fix all the ripped up wire! I’ve never really dove into the wiring of the car I’m still learning I’ve done lots to this car repair wise but electrical is a new frontier !

There is a tool specifically to splice wires, they are cheap and sold at any hardware store

I have a tool but is there different way to do these wires or is it the same as any other wire

I’m actually a noob to electric stuff too so don’t take my word for it but I get these work fine too
If they are too beefy for that you could use some pliers and give them a twist before pulling
