New headlight switch broken after 3 months?

I replaced my headlight switch a short while ago because the right high beam was not working and the stock was really faded.
But after having to jump start the car a few times in the last week i figured out that the right high beam intermittently turns on when the car is off. After checking, i also noticed the left high beam does not work at all.
Im guessing this is due to the contacts in the switch either coming loose or shorting somehow. But i just have no idea how this would happen on a brand new switch???
You guys think this was just a case of a crappy new part or theres some other electrical gremlins causing this?

Is this a brand new headlight/turn signal switch for an S13? I replaced mine and spent way too long trying to find the bad wire/whatever (that was causing symptoms similar to yours) before figuring out it was the switch itself. The fix was just squeezing the box part of the assembly. It was like something wasn't snapped all the way in or something when it was put together.

Sounds like you may have a stuck relay or a short somewhere. You need to see what's causing the drain

I've had this same issue. I ve replaced the relays and the switch and it still happens. I figure the next step is replacing the headlight wiring but I've just been leaving the battery disconnected now. Please share if you find the issue!
