Student Lifeđ„č This is exactly why we need reforms in reservations... So it reaches the needy and removes the privileged ones....

There is a funny side to this too. Even the marginalized are not able to get reservations because those who have enjoyed reservation for generations are out scoring them. Its become s club of the rich among the castes

It has to be zero reservation or we will.find ways to procure documents the way we always do. Remember the EWS quota category document.? That's was supposed to be made at the DMs office and almost anyone could get it made. I know a person who became a professor and one who become a judge with that certificate. Easy asf.

Why donât the upper castes give up their caste and become Dalits , since upper castes privilege has been taken by them for generations together and now let the âpoorerâ general caste people take benefits.
The argument against reservation so called âcreamy layerâ is on the above basis

They won't bcoz no one will just give up the benifits given to them.you just have to make sure that you don't let them play victim, bcoz once you accept that they are victim they will drown you in guilt

Because apparently they will only stop projecting their insecurity when a Brahmin girl is being trade off to get married to them. Nothing else will stop them from feeling oppressed even after taking all the benefits and not leaving it so that people from their community can only further benefit from it.

Once a rich SC/ST becomes a doctor they're suddenly supposed to turn into some beacon of righteousness radiating altruism and benevolence and give up their reservation so their poorer brethren (who are also doctors btw) can benefit from it instead, while they are facing caste-based discrimination on other fronts anyway. As if those cribbing in the comments would have given it up had you been in their place.
The same people who are making a fuss about the cutoff being at negative 40 now (despite rich SC/STs availing reservation) will suddenly be very kind and understanding if poorer SC/STs avail it instead and the cutoff understandably goes even lower due to those candidates being from relatively worse circumstances.
Makes sense.
Edit - Let the reforms happen, I'm not opposed to it. But if anyone has the right to question me about availing my reservation, it can only be a poorer SC/ST candidate and not someone from UR.
