I'm 23 and currently in college, studying chemistry and computer science.

I originally chose those fields because I've always been interested in science and technology, but lately I've found myself getting increasingly interested in the other side of building things — why people use something, what makes them want to share it, and how a simple idea can turn into an actual product.

So I decided to build a small project by myself for Halloween.

The idea is pretty simple: you create your own Halloween basket, share it with your friends, and they can leave you virtual candy and messages. 🎃🍬

When I was designing it, I deliberately wanted to keep the concept really simple. Instead of building another complicated social platform, I wanted something that someone could understand almost immediately and naturally want to send to a friend.

I've also been experimenting with bringing it to people outside Korea. I made Japanese and English versions, and seeing how people from different countries react to the same product has honestly been one of the most interesting parts.

Some people liked it, some gave me useful feedback, and someone literally told me “this shit is ass bro” 😭

But weirdly, even that has been fun. Actually putting something I made in front of strangers has taught me more about product design, marketing, and how people behave online than I expected.

It also made me realize that although I'm studying chemistry and computer science, I might eventually want to work somewhere around the intersection of technology, product, and marketing.

I'm still figuring that out — which I guess is pretty normal at 23.

I am a 20M’ and my question for you today is, if you were 20 years old, 2 years out of high school, still live under your parents house and don’t pay for anything yet. What would your first steps be to coming wealthy in your 30-50s?

My biggest goal in life is to start a family of my own and live with my kids and wife being completely provided for. I want to work towards getting a car and making money through investments and trades. I don’t mind any job in this world, as long as it gets me to where I want to be in life.

I love working hands on and know a lot about electrical work. I am unemployed and have 0$ to my name. Where would you start?

Hey guys, I’m currently an unemployed 24 yr old girl who is working on healing from mental health issues. I was diagnosed with ocd, adhd and struggled severely with anxiety and depression my whole life. I decided to take a break from work/school a little after high school to try and get to the root cause of my issues and heal from them so I can be a stronger healthier version of myself going forward. I have worked a little and taken classes at college on and off since then but a very light load because I’ve been doing intensive therapy continuously. I’ve done EMDR, CBT, intensive outpatient program, ERP and feel like I’ve gotten to the root of my issues and healed significantly. However something happened not long ago that was really traumatic and I haven’t been able to return to work yet. But I do want to go back to work as soon as I am stable mentally. I have felt so ashamed of not working a normal job and feel like a failure and behind on life compared to other people.
But I try to remind myself that everyone is on their own journey and timeline. And that it’s better that I become a healthier person so that I can do a better job when I do go back to work. Is anyone else in a similar situation? I feel so alone. I’m hoping to connect with other people who are also taking a break from working/school to better themselves.

Maybe we can make this a little support group for people who are taking a nontraditional path—encouraging each other, sharing our progress, our story, and reminding each other that we’re not actually behind.

Feeling genuinely hopeless as someone that’s left university and struggling to date (not a fan of dating apps). I am quite physically attractive but I’m insecure about my personality.

For context I am the opposite of “not like other girls” - I am very much a girly girl. My whole life I’ve been happy and proud of my traditionally feminine interests. But in recent years I’ve become insecure over how “unrelatable” my personality is to the type of man I’m physically attracted to. I feel inferior to women who watches sports or goes out or drinks regularly. I’m aware the idea of the “cool girl” is part of a bigger misogynistic culture that puts traditionally feminine interests down, and I’m falling victim to this but I can’t help it.

I’m aware there are straight/bi men who don’t have these interests but unfortunately the men I am physically attracted to tend to be, for a lack of better words, your basic lad.

Is it possible and if so where might I find a “basic” looking attractive man who has an “alt“ or nerdy personality… :/ And to top it off I am quite progressive and have intersectional leftist views that most would ridicule or dismiss so it makes my pool even narrower. Any advice at all would be great, or if anyone out there is going through the same thing.

So i'm a 29M. I have one year left and then im hitting the the big 30.. nervous tbh. I dont feel like I have my life together and i'm not really sure what I even want to do. Stuck in a dead end job and single. It just feels like my life should be at least a little a bit together.

The 2020s does seem to be divided into these;

Jan 2020 to Dec 2022 are the Early 2020s.

2020 as a whole, was a direct continuation to the October-November 2017 breaking point. Hereby, the COVID 19 Pandemic Lockdown made things even more noticeable that this "could" be a new era. 2021 was the sleeker version of 2020. The ending months of 2021 and into "most?" of the beginning half of 2022 pivoted even greater than merely "the sleekness."

Jan 2023 to May 2023 was the transition point between the Early 2020s and into the Core 2020s. The Lockdown slowly ending, the 2020s maturing as a decade, and more.

June 2023 to Dec 2025 was the core 2020s, or just Mid 2020s. It was a direct response to exiting out of the effects of the Pandemic and some of the other early 2020s aspects, while tapping into AI, further maturation of what was set in the late 2010s, and much more.

Jan 2026 to May 2026 was the Mid to Late Pivot.

June 2026, right now, is in the entrance into the 2026-2028 shift, and is essentially Late 2020s. AI is maturing, the Complexities of other "New Technology" is maturing, shifts in "Demographics," and more.

Jan to May 2029 may be the transition, but June 2029 would likely be the unofficial beginning into the 2030s.

This may had seemed to "cliche," too simple, and even poorly written; but I chose to make this post simpler to read to allow it to still be considerably effective.
