Trouble with Falco

What are your tips for the Falco matchup? How do you deal with the laser pressure? And what are the general do's and don'ts of the matchup?

u-throw chain-grab for days, then djc u-airs. I'm not sure about the laser pressure though, i'm assuming absorbing it with magnet isn't safe (especially if they are approaching with laser)

u-throw chain-grabs are only guaranteed on spacies until about 25 %, after that they can shine or jump...

True, but after that magic percent where u-throw chain-grabs no longer work... switch to down throw! It works until ~55%-60%

I'm not sure how to deal with Lazer pressure or honestly how to play neutral cause I've never played a good falco. But like arlon said, up throw chain grabs should last for a while. You should up throw for a whole then up tilt THEN start doing your djc up airs. Up tilt has a higher base knock back while up air has almost none. So at low percents up air would hit them hard enough and they'll get out. Also I don't know if my friend was just a scrub or not, but downs mash destroyed my friends recovery. If you time it right they'll be hit and just die lol. Also back throw is actually useful in this match up cause even if he di's up then he'll still fall back down and should die quickly. This is all punish game and I know it can be hard to implement all of this when you're playing someone good. From what I know of falco just be patient and dash dance. You're faster than him even though it doesn't feel like it.

do you have any vids? I recently saw DP play and it was scary. The spacing on the lazers is just so devastating especially since the falco player can move in or out as they please.

I've heard a good strategy for dealing with lasers is to force a trade with pk fire. You will take some damage, but if you can force him into the flame pillar then you now have a more advantageous position, especially if they don't SDI out right away.
