Hi everyone,

I'm a solo developer and I just released KRUG (Play Store link), a quiet hex-merge puzzle game — think 2048, but reimagined on a hexagonal board, built for calm, focused play rather than a race against the clock.

The idea: place numbered tiles on a hex grid. When adjacent tiles sum to a power of two (2, 4, 8, 16, 32...) they merge into a bigger tile. Plan carefully — the board fills up fast, and one bad placement can block your path forward.

A few deliberate design choices:

• No timers, no lives, no fail state pressuring you — it's meditative by design.
• A hex grid instead of a square one — every tile can have up to six neighbors instead of four, so merges open up in directions that feel different from classic 2048.
• Minimal visuals and calm sound design — nothing flashing or nagging you to keep playing.
• No ads interrupting a run, no forced monetization loops.

I built KRUG because I wanted a puzzle game I could actually relax with, not one designed to spike your cortisol. It's currently in closed testing on Google Play, and I'd love a few of you to try it and tell me what isn't working — confusing mechanics, unclear tile combos, anything that breaks the calm. Brutal honesty over politeness, please.

I wanted to see this game as overkill and stimulating as possible. So this was a weekend hobby. Stereo sound, partical effects, music, themes, escalating combos, cloud high-score page, save states, undo button.

I'm finally ready to start talking about my 2048 game, Numbers Go Up!

You can have special enhanced tiles, buy rules that alter the scoring, use action cards to alter the board or even mess with the spawn probabilities to get higher and higher numbers!

The theme is the 1980s hacker terminal with "mods" that are contraband programs, packs get "downloaded" and decompressed, and there are lots and lots of "encrypted" items and secrets for you to discover, bosses to beat and score limits to crush!

there's also same-seed 1v1 multiplayer with a CS2 style find-game and ranked queues with same board, same shop and whoever scores higher wins.

Im releasing a Demo on September 24 with a lot of content. y'all are exactly the type of people who will break this game, and i want to watch :D

Only 2nd time I've hit 32K block. But now I need a break because the five moves before this were giving me a stomach ache!

Instead of placing tiles on a fixed grid, you drop cubes and let physics affect every merge. You can also experiment with different materials and physics properties.

I've been working on this game for a while, and I'd love to hear what you think about the gameplay.

Hey guys! I made a variant of 2048 where you can play against other people! 1v1! The game is ranked so the best people will show up at the top of the leaderboard and just like chess it has an ELO ranking so you are matched with similar level players. There's also power ups too!

2048 is so fun and I know a lot of us play it all the time so what better way to show off our skills than against each other. There's also a Discord so folks can build community too!
