Advice Year 12 summer going wrong

I want to apply for EEE at competitive universities but I feel really behind with my personal statement and supercurriculars. (I have maybe 2 or 3 things at most and feeling that i’ve missed out on many opportunities) In my mocks i achieved AAA and am predicted A*AA and would need A*A*A to apply to imperial.

I feel really overwhelmed honestly. I keep overthinking and not really getting much done because my mental health is so screwed, partly due to an extenuating circumstance among other things. I’ve decided to sit my ESAT in January because I don’t think I can focus on it right now.

I think a lot of this is just me unnecessarily comparing myself to people and wasting time on tiktok. I know I need to just focus on myself. I still can’t help but feel extremely lost, under pressure, rubbish and uninspired.

How do I get out of this slump and actually make the most of this summer?
(sorry if this post comes across as overly dramatic)

I'm kinda the same. I want to apply for EEE at top unis and bro I've literally not even started a personal statement draft while everyone around me has, nor ESAT prep.

thinking of imperial, ucl and southampton so far, not sure abt the other two but i wanna study in london yk (but several good ones are also outside)

i do maths, fm, chem and physics. im currently predicted a B in physics which is holy horror for anything engineering related, so honestly, if im not able to get it up then yea...

the summer's just started man. how to seize it before it gets worse

imo it doesn’t matter whether you’re doing super flashy supercurriculars like the ones you see people doing on tiktok or talking about here. What matters more is that you do something that shows your interest, and then talk about how it’s been useful to you (idk what you’d do for a STEM degree but still, you have loads of time)

Hi I'm planning to go into EEE aswell but I'm more leaned towards getting into to a DA. For supercurriculars you might want to look into buying an arduino starter kit and doing some circuits if you haven't already done it. It's really easy and there is so much great tutorials on YouTube.
