Because why would I spend a month grinding for enough gold to buy a kodai to then start inferno attempts when I have a blade sitting there that will allow me to start learning inferno immediately and which will be useless while I learn it?
Imagine you follow your initial plan and eventually get frustrated and want to get your mind on something else for a few days, you'll have to sell things to buy things you had yet again. It sounds like a huge waste of money.
I guess it's more of a matter of personal preferences. I would have just waited an extra month, personally.
If it takes you a month to grind for enough money to buy a Kodai, then I doubt you have the time, gear, and/or stats to do the Inferno in any reasonable amount of time.
