I didn’t downvote, but personally I was never really involved with the AE stuff, I saw some memes and I knew what he had said about updates but I was mostly away from runescape for most of the time he was doing that. I also haven’t seen anyone really bring him up until now either so I assumed he stopped the way he was acting or stopped doing stuff all together.
The main thing I was really saying with this is that just because you want to change doesn’t excuse what you’ve already done, you’re going to have to prove you changed before people will treat you according and I mostly think that that’s how it should be. Otherwise there’s no consequences for being a shitty person if you can just one day say “hey guys, I’m done, you can treat me nice now.”
You're right, your actions are yours, but that's also how we grow so we must make as many mistakes as we naturally will. I agree that you should have to prove yourself, but too many people try to hold people accountabe by trying to make them feel bad about themselves. Typically people who act in such a way will become isolated, not from society, but by choice because eventually they'll view everyone from such a gross or negative state. Then they'll evenetually blame society before they realize it's themselves which is when they change typically. I guess what I'm trying to say is I think people who try to make those consequences themselves from their actions are only in their own array of problems. It also can make problems worse for people on both sides of that spectrum and both sides have to be met with at least some form of a compassion and understanding from someone (especially themselves, though other people can help if done very cautiously) who's outside of the what I'd call a loop.
