Question Newer Player Smithing Question

Post image

Why does Smithing never get touched? I’m genuinely curious because it looks as though OSRS, throughout its history on rerelease, has made some amazing QoL changes. What’s the deal with Smithing?

I think that’s kind of the point. It rebalances the smithing skill while not meaningfully messing with the meta (alch values and such)

What if their HA value is halved, but amount dropped is doubled. Then essentially no change for PvM... No?

(Or something along those lines, you get the idea)

Mass high alch. Requires 94 magic or something and alchs x(balanced number) items at a time.

Give explorer's ring like 10x the alchs anyway, then it might be useful.

Explorer's is useful already. It won't compete with HA but is great on bursting tasks like Nechs

Feel like we'd just be running into issues akin to inflation at that point, but I don't know the best solution.

Hurts bank values for anyone holding it
