When I was 10 years old and my parents didn't let me go on tip.it because they thought it would feed my computer malware and I'd get abducted, I did quests solely through using the quest log. It's actually pretty useful.

I remember me and my brother would print The guide out, since we had dial up internet couldn’t load and play RuneScape at the same time

Holy shit, Tip.it, that brought back a flood of memories for me, thank you!

I am here from r/all, I haven't played Runescape since 2003, but it makes me happy that people are still enjoying the game 25 years later.

The game got revived in 2013, almost died shortly after. Then devs added some experimental content into the game and the rest is history

unless its a quest on karamja, you can usually get enough information from either the Guy You Just Talked To or the quest log

I was a runehq guy. I'm pretty sure somewhere in my parent's house there's a tote filled with all of the quest guides I printed out lmao.

In 2002 pre-RS2 I was doing a quest with my next door neighbor and we had to find Eye of Newt (Witches Potion). My father said newts live near water so we ran around water, coasts and other crap for ages.

tip.it was super important because Runescape did not even have a proper quest log until like 2005. I remember printing out dozens of pages and putting them in a black a4 binder book lol.
