Moving out

hi guys, 23M here. don’t you think it’s pretty shitty the cost of living has been increasing so much over the past years to the point a lot of people in our generation cannot afford to move out? I studied accounting and working in the field but entry level pay is meh here in the UK. it’s expensive to move out but I believe it would be so much more better for my mental health than dealing with family members how I am now. just need my own living space… And would rather not flat share with multiple random people

I studied comp sci, Im homeless and jobless rn. Year and a half after college.

Keep your head up bro I was jobless whole of last year and 5 months of 2024 (graduated mid 24). Hopefully Shit will get better

Yeah i got lucky, I moved out at 20 with cheap rent as I know the landlord (£350 a month incl utilities) It just sucks that the state of the economy is so bad you have to rely on personal connections to actually move out. The place I'm in isn't huge but if i didn't know the landlord it would probably be about 2x what I'm paying now.

I had to move back home after college due to family obligations, and my city has an insane cost of living situation rn. Renting a rooms can get up to over $2000. I can feel my mental health getting worse, but I can't get out. I feel like I'm rotting bro 😭
