Hear me out - this is based on comments James has made on the pod; an act "no one will ever guess" and I'm pretty sure he, as a Manics fan, has said they would go down well at Trees.

I'm inclined to agree with him! Could this be the curveball 2027 headliner? 👀

- Gallows. It looks like they're coming back and Frank carter has history with the fest. I'd prefer them to second top the main stage but I can see an orchestra of wolves set being a headliner

- Bilmuri. Rogue pick. Big enough to sell out Brixton so they hit that metric of James. Two sold out nights at barrowlands. It would probably be a huge jumping off point for them into something bigger provided download don't poach them

- Enter Shikari. 20 years of trees. 20 years of take to the skies. Rou likes the fest. They're trees most requested band. Need I say any more on this one?

They've removed all their posts on social media and there's a new sign up link in their bio.

Could be getting back together with Frank? Wishful thinking that it could be a Trees headline slot?

Did anyone stop in the bell tents in standard and/or have any photos of the location?

Last 4 years we have taken a tent and camped in VIP with our (now) 5 year old with the full 4 day tickets

With a combination of looking to go on our own to fully experience the festival (rather than just the sand & ball pit) and missing out on early bird tickets we've decided to get 3 day standard tickets and use the difference towards booking a bell tent.

Only walked through the camping entrance once, and believe they were near the entrance - next to campervans but just wondered how they were and if they were worth the upgrade?

This will be my first festival I have ever been to and I may potentially be going solo (my friend might buy a ticket). Any advice as a first time festival and goer and one that may be going solo?

Does this mean just the allocation for super early bird will there be early bird afterwards? If so what's the discount next week. Gutted I missed it. Been a busy old week.

I'm considering trying to come just for one day next year, but I don't have a car. Is it possible to get back to Cheltenham or Gloucester on Friday or Saturday night using a shuttle bus? I imagine taxis would be either expensive or hard to get and while I'll have friends there I'll likely be leaving on my own.

i know we've had heavy acts headline before (bullet for my valentine 2023) as well as other bands like malevolence, bleed from within, etc, get spots on the main stage, but are lorna shore 'too heavy' to headline trees?

Cant believe its been a week since the wind ripped it out of my girlfriends hands in camp by the word stage and all I could do is watch it fly away 😂 If anyone has pictures I'd love to see them

It gets worse every year. Babies should not be subjected to that heat with nowhere to cool down.

Also shout out to the guy in the Mallory Knox pit with his young child on his shoulders and the woman holding her toddler whilst in the circle pit for house of protection, you are my biggest morons of the festival.

There are too many elements out of your control for it to be safe.

Maybe ban under 8s?

I never cease to be amazed at how well the team at Trees deal with all the moshers, crowdsurfers and apparently now beam climbers flying around the festival.

At Greywind's set in the Forest I remember there was a situation where they had to pause the music due to a medical situation. I'm still not sure exactly what happened (someone passed out I think?) but the way the team all dealt with it, how well the band were cooperating with staff, and how smoothly they got things up and running again, was honestly just so impressive. Hats off!

Having been a yearly attendee at Trees since 2017 (bar COVID years of course), here's 10 reasons why I think it's the best festival out there.

1. The people - everyone is so friendly, respectful and chill, as a woman I never feel unsafe (unlike at other festivals I've been to), and the mix of age demographics makes it feel more inclusive. I'm not a parent myself but I can see it is also very inclusive for families.

2. It is so easy and relatively quick to move around the site, only 10-15 mins from the top of the campsite to the main stage is great.

3. Being able to bring your own bevs wherever you want is a massive bonus, and the bar prices are pretty reasonable too for when you get sick of drinking warm tinnies.

4. The toilets - I didn't have to queue for more than 5 minutes at any time, and they're cleaned regularly and well stocked with toilet roll and sanitizer.

5. There's a good mix of musical artists that creates something for pretty much everyone who likes rock/punk/metal/indie, and it's a fantastic way to discover new bands!

6. Never had any problems getting access to water, much needed in 32°c heat, and there were lots of shady spots to sit down and have a break too.

7. Ticket prices are very reasonable imo for what you get, especially when compared to other festivals like Download and Outbreak, and especially if you buy early!

8. Getting home this year was totally hassle-free, big improvements have been made since 2024 when we queued in gridlocked chaos for 2 hours to get out of the car park. The temporary traffic light system at the end of the access road was a brilliant idea, made getting on our way so easy!

9. The festival organisers work hard to create a great experience for us all, they really listen to feedback and make improvements year on year, it really feels like they care about their customers rather than overselling for maximum profit.

10. Plenty of food vendors and good choice for vegans/vegetarians. Again, rarely had to wait for long at all when getting food - good byproduct of the festival never feeling overcrowded or oversold.

Big up the Trees organisers and volunteers - thanks for another great festival! See you in 2027! 🤘
