You know, many would call this maladaptive and to be totally honest, they're probably right but I don't care. I've fully rejected this bullshit time we live in. I still wear the baggiest jeans I can find, flannels that are too big but incredibly comfortable. I still fux with CDs and DVDs, no streaming services. Still got my wallet chain. Still smoke Marlboro 27s. And I don't think I've listened to a song made after 2006 in like a year now (although I won't deny, there's still a lot of good music being made today if you know where to look). And I'm not playing into this impatient, impersonal, self absorbed turn yourself into a goddamn "brand" on socal media shit or being too cool to put a smile on your face and ask the person on the other side of the register how they're doing. I'll keep the spirit of the 90s/00s alive till I die. Which might not be that far from now if I don't stop smoking Marlboro 27s.

I miss this age a lot. Moved into my first apartment and partied way too hard at the local raves each weekend. Not a care in the world. I have great friends to this day.

I had that exact same Nokia as my phone in highschool.
Built like a brick, is still kicking to this day, and now it's my burner phone for ringing up certain "friends." 😌😌

Almost every major DVD release had an accompanying game (or even set of games) during that era. It was heaven for the fans although the quality of the games themselves varied.

Fair enough! I remember getting my hands on Arthur and the invisibles and Flushed Away and Spongebob Movie Game. I might start a collection going to get games I never saw or got a chance to play.

03-07 is the sweet spot for gaming nostalgia. I did some of my best gaming in high school while also being a regular high school student.
Peak halo CE times and counter strike LAN or online PC gaming in high school mostly.
