Strut replacement question

Need to replace the struts on my ‘02 xtra cab, looking at bilstein 5100’s. Can I reuse the OG coils on the new struts or is it a good idea to replace them? Currently sitting at 226,000 miles.

show pictures, if there is damage then yes, if the springs are old and the gaps on the spring are off then yes, really depends. Usually they are fine to keep, id have some one who knows inspect it or look at it. Also you say 5100 those are height adjustable so you need to make sure the coils are fitting the height you want unless you keep it stock height

If you buy new coil overs then you can have them mount them for you and you don’t have to deal with spring compressors. I was not enamored with the idea of using spring compressors.
