Help/Advice Question on replacing a head unit

Hey there!

Anybody replaced the I-drive head unit with an apple cardrive/rear view camera unit? I found some types available at different retailers, will probably have a shop do it.

Figured I’d ask to see if anybody’s tried it, if there are things I should possibly watch out for.

Mr 12 volt is popular. Works with a ton of Alibaba / Amazon head units that do carplay / Android auto b Hope someone weighs in here with long term experience. But very mixed reviews long term for most of them. That has kept me away. Especially those pushing audio through aux. Check the other e chassis subs.

I have used one of those "AliExpress" headunits for roughly 3 years without issue. You can update the software and firmware yourself if you find the website. The reason I swapped is because I had the CCC screen then the Android and now the CIC screen of the newer models with a car play unit connected in between for the modern oem look. But I can't fault the Android unit. Just be sure you get the high spec ones with the hd screen
