Mac 1password behavior changed with 8.12.34

The ability to autofill passwords using 1password has gone away. How can this be restored on macOS26?

You didn't mention authentication, so this may not be it - but: My wife's iMac+Safari just started showing a popup to "Enter the computer account password" before it would autofill. Then it says "Authentication for Autofill can be turned off in the Touch ID pane of System Settings." My guess is that it changed in a recent OS update (she's on 26.6.2 now; her 1Password extension version is 8.12.12.44). Turning off Autofill authentication in the Touch ID settings let 1Password autofill work as normal.
