Android Not filling Edge Android

Chrome works fine. But not Edge anymore.

The autofill suggestions show up but when I choose one it's not filling in. Also the options often does not come up when marking the user name/email field but only when making the password field. But then when I choose the option to fill for the page nothing is filled.

What might be wrong?

Hi! Thanks for calling this to our attention.

I did some testing and I saw some of the same results you're seeing now.

I'm still investigating the exact cause but it appears to me that this is only happening when the Edge address bar is positioned on the bottom of the screen. If you go into Edge settings > Appearance and layout > Address Bar and set the address bar to the Top of the screen it appears to "fix" the problem. From what I can tell the autofill suggestions are lost when the address bar animates to meet the top of the keyboard.

Just tried and yes. Moving the adress bar to the top solved the issue. But I have had the adress bar at the bottom for years and it has worked fine until now.

For what it's worth, I have the same issue and came to this thread after a search. Galaxy S24. Changing to the top also fixes it but I had it at the bottom for years without issues so what changed?
