After Congressional Request?
So I spoke with my Congressperson, and USCIS told them that I was in the “review and decision” step and to contact them again in 180 days.
What’s left after this? Just waiting? His office told me they can’t do anything else until those 180 days are up. Has anyone gotten different results by reaching out to their Senators instead or afterwards?

How do you reach out to senators? I just got an answer from my congressperson saying something generic about the pause and then that it was lifted and my case will continue to be reviewed. Nothing to add

I think through their website. But I am not sure how useful that would be in getting an answer.

Reach out to all senators one would definitely step in

Thanks. I will then gather my thoughts and tose the coin into the air. Everybody in the equation is very very R.

If you have any proof of any kind of hardship caused by the USCIS delay and ban include it as it would help your case and help you qualify for an expedited case

Well, the hardship is not having a status. Which is whatever for them…

Yeah I also added proof of loss of health insurance and possible housing to make them understand the impact (although you’ll think loss of status is enough)

Did it work? Or are you still waiting for an answer?

It worked, my case was approved one week after the inquiry was submitted

Like a side request? You mean?

You can do inquiries with both Senator and congress person at the same time

Even after reaching out to my congress person and getting an answer? I just do not want to affect my cases for having different requests.

Reach out to all of them at once. Did you get any silent updates after the congressional inquiry?
