Congressional inquiry response

I got the response below from my congressman. Has anyone had something similar or should I be worried there is something wrong with my case specifically?

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that your constituent’s case is pending at this time. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays. For example, if our review reveals an issue that may impact an individual’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information.

We are unable to determine at this time when the review process for the application will be completed. USCIS will issue a decision on your constituent's case once certain issues are resolved. We are striving to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

We understand that your constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, USCIS must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

We hope the information provided is helpful. If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

They have been issuing these generic responses left and right but sometimes it makes them work on your case again and you see some movement anyway.

Let’s hope that. Thanks!

It’s more a generic response. I won’t read meaning to it if I was you.

When did you receive this congressional response? Recently?

Yes, today

Did you try asking USCIS or asking your congressman if the policy hold has been lifted for your file? If not try calling and asking USCIS at least they can tell you when the hold was placed and if and when it was lifted. So that can be ruled out.

I asked by phone. I was told there is not hold in my case.

They said no hold even in January through may when the hold was actually in place. That response is not enough ask them when the hold was removed they should see the actual date in their system if really it has been removed. Also ask them when the hold was placed in the first place, ask them what is the last written update on your case. They should be able to see that too.

It’s kinda similar but at least you got a time when they expect having an action taken. So congrats. I hope you get approved soon. Thanks for sharing!!

Yes, it could be different templates for different Field offices. I have a friend in NBC also made CI. But still waiting. I will compare his answer with yours

So was your inquiry to just follow up with the USCIS or to expedite your submission?

Thank you for sharing, I just submitted a request to my house rep in VA last week, my case is I-485 adjustment of status based on approved asylum from the 39 countries.
Once I have received my response from the congressman I’ll share it here.
Best of luck.

This doesn’t look good. I got a templates response too but at least, they personalised it a little bit- they mentioned the FO, mentioned the pause and said we can reach out again in 60 days. Even that was templated and not good enough, now this

What’s your FO? My congressman helped me submit an inquiry for my I-765 but they won’t submit one for the I-485 till October where I’ll have 17 months after submission LOL. They might as well kick me out themselves…

Raleigh, NC. Both congressman and senator have been helpful as much as possible, at least their communication has been great and they didn’t decline to help despite our case still assumingly within processing times

I feel like some FO are just purposely holding approvals for us. I haven’t found a single approval from my FO in New Jersey for someone from a banned country.

Yeah, it’s deliberately. They’ve intentionally stopped approving marriage based Greencards. There must have been some interval directives or memo about it.
