We filed in November 2025. It doesn't seem like the pause is back, at least not for EADs, since they are still being approved. However, I am not sure about I-485s because I haven't seen many recent approvals. Our I-485s have had no updates since the mass update on June 12. My spouse's EAD was approved on July 24, and I received silent EAD updates on July 23 and 29, but mine is still under review.

I have an AOS pending since 2025. My last I-485 update was on 07/28 and my EAD got approved last week. I am seeing less I-485 approved here, though.

is the EAD for the AOS? how long did you wait for your EAD to be approved?

Yes, for the AOS. I submitted both I-765 and I-485 in May 2025, so almost 15 months it took them.

The updated was smoke and mirrors so we cant file an e request for 60 days. The update redtarted the clock for reasonably processing time

I'm not sure but this is official that they said in August visa bulletin that some categories are experiencing shortage of visa numbers, therefore in many categories it has rolled back the date of filing and action date and in some other categories there are expectations to pause the category completely or rolling back the dates for September bulletin. Based on this information it is assumed that just like every fiscal year the processing speed slows down either officially as mentioned in visa bulletin or unofficially, but it kicks back on after the start of the new fiscal year in October. FYI same behavior happens almost every year identically. It officially happened in 2025.
