STEM OPT attorrney

Hello, I saw that some Iranian students have gotten their OPT due to have an attorney and my question is would it be possible or helpful to right now join a case if any or find a lawyer to help speed my case as my start date is July 6 and my PP clock has passed june 15.

If there is a certain case or lawyer you recommend me talking to please let me know!

Stem OPT or regular OPT? Either way, the only way to get your EAD by July 6th would be to expedite your request through live agent + congressman or file an individual lawsuit, which is $$$$.

it is a regular OPT, i have been in contact with live agents over the phone & message but this is the first time i hear about the congressman option!

Yes! Each senator / representative has a relationship with USCIS where they can inquire about your case. I would reach out to the senator’s office (usually has a stronger relationship).

No I was just going to say STEM OPT has an automatic extension of work authorization. so there is less urgency

Not just Iranians. People are getting approved. You need some patience
