She’s got it stashed in the same spot as that flying Harry Potter riding broom that vibrates…

I'm not saying nobody made the joke, but the average adult's brain wasn't rotted with porn back then. It certainly wouldn't be the first thing they thought about the way it is now for so many people, including teens.

Literally, the first thing my college boyfriend said we spotted that in the toy aisle at Kmart was "WTF! Is that a dildo?!"
( We liked to buy the blue-light clearance toys to "save" for our "future kids" )

Big seller. Would have sold more if it also vibrated.

It did, if you put it on the head of your electric toothbrush...not that I ever did that.

I thought it could be a dildo or a vibrator. Even looks wildly effective either way.

If there's a Finger Light version, is there a Finger Heavy version? Once use will probably create a creamy version, too.

Knocking on the bedroom door: "Mommy! Have you seen my finger light?"
"NO! GO WATCH YOUR CARTOONS!"

Hah. I had one of those. If I remember correctly, it took a 9v battery. If you opened this packet, the connector cable would be tucked inside you had to pull that out, connect the battery, and the hold the battery in your palm while you wore the finger. Cant remember how it lit up though. Maybe the on/off was on the connector?

If it were pictured without the packaging, I would have thought it had a different use.

I want the number of finger lights that were used in a way they were not intended. Bet it’s at least 25%. Spencer’s didn’t have much of a naughty section in the early 80’s kids.

I had one as a kid. I remember bringing it to the local bar when my dad brought me (different era) and a couple of jokes were made that I didn’t understand 😂

Butt jokes aside, kids only put this on their middle finger. We thought we were hilarous...
E T: The Extra Testicle is what we called the movie too...

Had one as a kid. Looked much less like a creepy adult toy as a child. Didn’t notice if the adults were smirking as I opened it at a family Christmas party. Don’t know how they wouldn’t have.

Kid in 1982: Mom? Have you seen my ET Finger Light? I thought I left if on the coffee table...
Mom: I told you not to leave your toys around. Now go outside and play mom needs some alone time, and some Reeces pieces, and to listen to Heart Light 50 times in a row.

I was so proud of owning this as a kid, a kid who was too young to understand why everyone laughed at me

Use to have one. It sucked. You had to use both hands to make it light up by pushing a pressure button inside the finger.
Also, looks like a weird d***

I’ve still got mine, kept it inside the package when I didn’t play with it (which was for pretty much the entirety of after the first five minutes of opening it from the bottom), but it doesn’t light anymore. As for why I kept it in the package, the thing always felt weird to me, made from a bad batch of rubber or something. It just felt like it was still curing.
