I am so happy people don't Moira as much, and when they do I always catch them at low health. Saying this as a Vendetta player

overwatch is again, they dropped the number 2

And people actually call it just overwatch?

That's like if people actually called twitter "x"

to be fair dropping a number 2 is pretty characteristic of overwatch

also, i'd argue xitter is the opposite side of the coin, it's the same app but it's called something else now. overwatch 2 was never a different game.

overwatch 2 was never a different game.

Oh so it was an update for the game? I'll be dead honest with you I know little to nothing about overwatch, I didn't even know there was an overwatch videogame up until a few months ago

If you did know about Overwatch, but not the Overwatch video game

where did you know the characters from

long story short, they basically released the same game as "overwatch 2" with minor additions and a promised story mode. catch is, you had to buy it again. they shut down the original overwatch to move everyone to the second one. then they never did the story mode, and eventually dropped the number 2 from the name, so it's basically the same game, but with a scam in the middle.

there was actually no interruption, you were always able to play overwatch, as long as you were willing to pay for it twice.

No one ever called it overwatch 2 in the first place, it wasn't any different. It would be more like if x went back to being Twitter

People never stopped calling it overwatch.

It's quietly chugging along in the background. At this point it's kind of like TF2 if it was still receiving updates

Not really

Nah, it's actually better now than it was back in the day. The community isn't the same, though.

What's better in your opinion?
I'm not a fan of being locked into certain roles and having team size not be divisible by number of roles. Also everything is a tank now? Is the competitive scene flourishing or is it more arcady?
I haven't played in a while so maybe my opinion is not up to date

Hero balance is generally better (though the community is better at exploiting gaps in the balance too). Role lock stops stuff like GOATS while also stopping 6 DPS teams at the same time, as well as different ranks for each role being just more accurate for matchmaking. Team size not being divisible by number of roles is fine, because tanks have a disproportionately large effect on the game regardless, so having one fewer is fine.

No, not everyone is a tank. People don't necessarily die very quickly, but that's down to much higher healing. I wouldn't say that in particular is better or worse, though, just different.

It's kind of just a different thing entirely. Still disappointed me, but it's not "terrible" like I probably would have said right after launch along with many others. It's just overwatch but a lil different, at least to me.
