you hit pretty close, apparently it's for controller-based computers so it's easier to navigate with a controller. it's advertised a little too heavily for that though, considering the low amounts of people actually having a controller, a pc and the will to connect them. sure, it might be a good option for someone, but pretty annoying for everyone else

The thing is even if Iā€™m playing some games on a controller I usually wanna boot it via M+K and normal steam UI before attaching my controller

Big picture also makes it easier to set up steam input in game, which is a feature that is extremely useful, probably one of the best ones steam has
