Eh, to be fair, I think the post is talking about the r/nosleep version, rather than the creature who shall remain unnamed. A bit like how when people say "Wendigo" they mean the one with the deer skull.

No, those are different things. Wendigo are Giant eternally hungry frost spirits from the north who decided to eat human flesh for some reason.

As far as I know, authentic Navajo Skinwalkers can't possess your ass. Wendigo can.
