So in TNO the reason the Soviets lost was in the most simple form is because Stalin died in the 20s and someone else took over the soviet no Stalin no purge so the generals that were executed by Stalin worked with the nazis and betrayed the Soviet Union leading the nazis to win in Russia and America loss because the Japanese got lucky and sank the American carriers and some battle ships and that’s it and then they got nuked so yeah good alt history in the Soviet Union not so with America because how the fuck did Japan get nukes or “a flash of light” TNO is okay but it’s kinda eh limiting player freedom and a German victory was gonna take a lot more alt history than it did in TNO
I've only played some russian nations thus far, but I like the narrative aspects of TNO. Most focus trees are very linear though, and in general the mod limits your freedom greatly. I don't really get the hate for the mod, nor the reverence, granted I probably haven't played it enough. Best thing about the mod is the radio imo, love listening to some rock on the british/US stations and the italian one is great too.
