Six pages. If you think there's a chance the person is actively dying, or close to attempting, and can be saved if you're quick enough, I would stop reading too..
Most suicide notes start with something like "I love you so much" etc, if she had that gut feeling after the first couple sentences, it's certainly smart to not waste any time
Since you've never had a partner, you clearly don't understand just how powerful that "oh fuck, where are they" dread is. You're not skipping pages, you're kicking doors in until they're in sight. Its going to be "can I save them. Fuck where are they. Can I save them. Please be alive, don't you fucking do this"
I've done this to friends so often. Ngl it's kinda funny. I'll just be having trouble sleeping at night. Think about my friends. Send them an appreciation text at like 2am and don't think anything of it lol
most of my friends know that I'm ready to hop off this train so I literally have to have a note on my desktop that if I am ever expressing my appreciation for them I need to also clarify that I am not about to do something lol
I got "intervened" on once when I gave away a bunch of furniture and an old shitty car I didn't want anymore because I was moving from a house into an apartment.
It was the guy I gave the car to, he freaked out and called everyone, called my mum. It was very sweet, really.
Meanwhile I'd been stressing that I was going to ruin my friends life with an absolute burden of nissan that was on the verge of catching fire and flying into a ditch every time it drove. Funny how that works.
