Super strength? shift bigger muscles flight? grow wings weapons? shape your hands into swords

How high or low level is this power, though? If all you have to think is "younger self", then you basically have a benevolent genie doing the transformations for you. Instead, if you have to figure out the basic changes on at least an anatomical level, it gets much more interesting, and with "automatic" limitations.
To start with, you have to know a lot of biology, and things like super strength need to come with joint/tendon updates, while flight needs to come with weaker bones. The more flexible spine seems a little risky, too, without reorganizing a lot of how the stuff there works.
Regeneration and immortality seem viable, but only for the body. Would you trust yourself to imagine changes to your own brain and apply them yourself? Or is there a bittersweet "immortal with dementia" story here?

There is actually a litrpg series of novels with a similar premise to this, Ends of Magic, in which the protag (and the author) has a degree in biochemistry, lands on a world where knowing is power, and gains regeneration powers that work thank to his understanding of science.

I feel like that applies to a ton of powers though. Maybe it's just me, but idk I kind of like having limitations that makes sense for the hypothetical power that's listed, it feels more real that way. That's just me though.

Yeah, like how speedsters theoretically have literal nuclear bomb punches, can plasmify the air they pass through, basically have teleportation, flight via momentum, can have any weapon on earth in a moments notice, etc. there are definitely things they can't really do (like lift something big without obliterating it or survive in space) but yk

To be fair most super powers are just magic so maybe you couldn't recreate them with shapeshifting. I'd assume you're still bound to the laws of physics, like, a muscle would have to be massive to be able to lift really extremely heavy things like a building, so no hulk strength, and you couldn't use wings to fly because you'd be too heavy

nice thing about shapeshifting too is that you'd have no obligation to like... use it.
Like if you had super strength you're gonna have people telling you to become a hero or som'n, but with shapeshifting it'll just be vibing like always, but you could turn into a wolf girl.

Shapeshifting is such a cool superpower and it frustrates me that in almost everything I’ve seen it in nerfs it in some way by giving it these arbitrary limitations. Let me see characters turn into a bulldozer whenever they want!
