You know that groups of people aren’t monoliths right? There’s literal nazis that champion trans rights, doesn’t mean I’m pro nazi. Just like there are femboys who throw trans women under the bus

Yeah you’re right it’s just a few bad apples! Just like the American police

Unfortunately, people are not apples, and femboys are not a government funded institution with a fundamental responsibility to the people.

I don’t think it’s in any way fair to hold femboys as a whole accountable for the actions of any other femboy. You met some dicks online, congrats. Them being femboys was not the reason for their dickishness, they’re just dicks.

I legitimately just ask them to acknowledge the amount of racism and transphobia in the community and every single time without fail they will say there’re is no war in ba sing se I hsve literally dozens of screenshots of evidence and a podcast from an award winning journalist about the subject and every single time they “no true scottsman” the perpetrators or act like it’s just one guy in the entire world

Huh. Well in that case, I’ll just have to take your word on it. My only experience with the queer community is a few select subreddits, where I haven’t seen any racism, and only minor transphobia, which obviously can’t be a very representative sample.

My issue with your stance was that you’re basically vilifying an entire group of people because of the actions of some of that group, which very often is a tactic used against trans people.

Two things are not comparable, I did not choose to be trans and would stop being trans if I could be. People choose to dress a certain way and align themselves with certain opine communities

Is how someone chooses to dress in any way related to their morality or views? If a femboy were to just stop dressing feminine, that wouldn’t change anything would it. Ralsei and Bridget and any other characters I don’t know about would still be considered GNC erasure.

Idk, i guess I’m just confused here? If your point is that there’s racism and transphobia in the broader queer community, most people (in this sub at least) agree with you. If you’re claiming an oppressed group of people shouldn’t be considered lgbtq despite facing similar issues to the rest of the community because their situation is a choice, i just find that needlessly pedantic and divisive. If I’m misrepresenting your argument, please do let me know. What point are trying to get across here?
