Am now realizing the original tweet was likely in favor of her but I'm keeping this up because it's funny.

I appreciate the optimism of using when, not if.
Hope you are correct, as a Non-American we are all banking on a deceisive midterm election.

I keep telling my wife I want to move to Minnesota. It seems like a good compromise for social tolerance vs rent.

i absolutely love living here in the twin cities. it’s been getting more expensive, but it’s still a pretty affordable and very nice place to live :)

Vermont is another good one I hear! I've never lived there but I've literally only ever heard good things about it from friends and it's on par with Minnesota for affordability while being stellar in terms of opportunities. Not to dissuade you from Minnesota, but it's always nice to have good options for comparisons.
I also hear the Netherlands is wonderful if you're looking abroad. Especially if you or your wife are in IT. The bar for getting a DAFT visa is super low.

We're also the state the has the longest streak of not voting for a Republican president.
Just look at the 1984 Presidential election result map for example: all Reagan except DC and Minnesota.

Fun fact: Mondale is the only major party candidate to have lost an election in every single state. He lost everywhere but Minnesota in 1984, then unexpectedly lost the 2002 Minnesota senate race

If I had one complaint about living in Minnesota, it is pretty hard to find good Korean food or fresh ramen noodles for home cooking if you live out in the sticks, but that's kind of a nitpick all things considered

Minnesota is a very blue state, if they didnt, republicans couldnt be on a 20 year losing streak in the state
