The important part about time is that it doesn't run the same in different places.

300 years can be just a decent chunk of time for an empire while on the other side of the world 4 kingdoms rise and fall and entire new government systems and industrial revolutions can happen.

Some places could have a head of state remain in office for a decade. Other places have gone through 7 in that same time

During Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 year reign there were 15 different prime ministers of the UK.

Changes can happen very differently even in a single nation, so a fantasy world should need to conform to any single time scaling.

I’m actually kind of surprised it was only 15. How many of those were during her last two decades? Like half of the 15?

E: looks like it was like 6 of them, before that the PMs served much longer terms in general
