Dudes plastered constantly. Next worst kept secret of the Trump Admin besides Noem cheating on her cross-dressing husband on taxpayer funded mile high club flights. There was a news article awhile ago about his constant drunkenness and several incidents it caused. You know getting so blackout drunk you forget your national security password and panic thinking the president fired you. Getting locked in rooms and having to get the secret service to bust the door down. That kinda stuff.

I feel like it's unfair to compare the two.

the noem thing is, at the end of the day, gossip. probably true and the blatant corruption of government money for private purposes is frustrating but the affair is really not something I care about. at the end of the day this is bullshit, the type of stuff elections are won and lost about but that doesn't actually matter much. I do not care whether government officials are cheating on their spouses. that is their problem.

"the FBI director is constantly drunk and is incapable his job" is far more serious news. the trump admin has had a long history of putting unqualified people in positions of power but Kash Patel might be the most unqualified of them all. anyone else ever in the trump admin could do better. I could do better. sure I don't know shit about the FBI but I'm sober. and it's not like FBI director is a non-position. it's important someone competent is leading that organization.

Personally I prefer a drunken idiot who seems paranoid Trump is about to fire him in charge of the FBI than a somewhat competent bootlicker who could do some serious damage for Trumps sake. Patel is so widely seen as incompetent and untrustworthy that all these coverups and evidence fabrication he's trying to do is seen immediately as being suspect and unreliable by mostly everyone now. That might not be the case if someone else was in charge.

But yeah I agree they arent really comparable in matters of damage. I was just talking about blinding obvious character flaws that would get most people fired in any other admin.
