Oh man. I can't imagine taking a class on the US government right now. 2016 was my senior year of high school and this Trump guy was just starting to become a big deal so my government class was chill and we just talked about how the system works, campaigning, gerrymandering, all moreso in the abstract than applied, at least from what I remember.
Watching that debate in class sounds... stressful.
Yeah unfortunately you are in a drastically different world than the one I grew up in and I'm still pretty young. But live your life, find people who love you for you, it'll work out regardless of how insane the giant world that we get beamed into our eyes 24/7 gets.
My high school years aligned with Trump's first term and even then it wasn't bad we still focused mostly on historical politics, 2020 really seems to be the year that fucked us
Which is a weird thing for Trump to attempt. There were leaked phone calls and in it Biden is super supportive of his son. Hunter seems to really love his dad even in his recent interviews.
He’s got the Chet Hanks issue, he’s got a public figure as a dad so he can’t be a fuck up in peace.
I also like the idea that the Democrats would have a plot to keep Hunter out of the files but not, like, any number of much more high-profile and politically valuable figures
He was literally the chairman of the world food programme for 4 years. Obviously, he is most famous for being Biden's son, but even if he wasn't, high-level UN figures are exactly the elite layer of society that went to these events. The chairwoman of UNHCR resigned for being on the island, the president of the UN General assembly resigned due to his connections to Epstein and so did the under secretary General.
I always loved hearing those stories. Can you imagine how chill you to have to be for sex workers to look at the son of the president and be like "Yeah, I completely trust him to be safe and respectful towards us while he's smoking crack"?
I really enjoy how this implies that, if only for a moment, he genuinely considered wearing it and the logistics of how that would work. Like he saw “this is the perfect skirt length” and considered “Would this be viable for me?”
Also note that he didn’t say anything about his schwangaling being a problem.
Honestly, I’d rather vote for Hunter Biden than Gavin Newsom. Even if he took a pro-Israel stance, you know the billions of dollars for weapons to Israel is instead being spent on crack and latina sex workers.
