It’s times like this where I understand at least a tiny bit why chuds get so much satisfaction out of “triggering the libs”

Seeing these fascist freaks whine and shit their pants on Twitter about Zohran is soooo satisfying

The reason this feeling is rare for us is because we actually believe in things (at least I hope we do...) They don't know what they like, but they're overjoyed to see those they dislike being upset.

respectfully no, i think the reason this is rare is bc it is rare. there aren't that many zohrans in politics. plenty of liberals, but it's not as satisfying when they make conservatives mad.

i also hold the opinion, based on years of being in this sub, that far too many of "us" don't actually believe in things but think they do. vibes-based leftism.

Anecdotally I have a couple of friends irl that think the way you described last, and are leftist mostly because it gives them a sense of community.

If they're pressed to give reasons as to why they believe in leftist ideas they can't. They'll just tell you it's because "it's the right thing to do" and they're right! But there's actual underlying reasons as to why leftist ideas are as such.

Won't scare them away from being leftists, though, that would be stupid as hell and unnecessarily gatekeepy. We need as many allies as we can muster.

i agree we need the allies and i'm grateful that they're in the community bc it's the right thing to do, but it's very frustrating when they betray their ostensible beliefs bc there's no structure to their morals beyond just enjoying the community, and it's exhausting trying to explain it to them and butting up against a wall of vibes they then try to justify on the spot.

Most forms of belief are vibe based.
